More About Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights is a residential neighborhood reflecting a variety of architectural elements and styles common between 1909 and 1978, including Colonial Revival from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Craftsman, Tudor Revival and International. While primarily a single-family residential neighborhood, there are also garden apartments, one high-rise apartment building, a commercial building, a synagogue, a parsonage, a middle school with community center and two landscaped parks. Initially a farming community, the area that became Arlington Heights was formed from the integration of 25 subdivisions. In 2008 this community received its designation as a historic district.
